ABOUT US

Experienced, loving instructors

Helping Hands Christian Pre-School, a mission of the Goshen United Methodist Church, opened our doors to all children in September, 2001. We are incorporated as a non-profit school.

Admission is open to children of all religions, races, and national and ethnic origins. Our school is Christian oriented but not denominationally oriented. We will promote the elements of faith that are common to Christian people. All children must be immunized.

Our staff are experienced, loving instructors who are committed to Christ. While our staff members may have varied educational backgrounds, they all bring unique gifts and talents to share with the children. The staff is certified in CPR and have undergone background checks.

*Allergy aware school that is peanut free. We provide a safe environment for children with all types of allergies*

OUR PROGRAMS
Our programs are designed to meet the developmental needs of children ages 2-5 years. We will help prepare children for Kindergarten both socially and academically; and equally important, we will provide a spiritual foundation to prepare them for life.
PROGRAM GOALS
  • Each child will develop a sense of security and independence away from his or her home environment.
  • Help each child make friends and learn to treat others the way that he or she would like to be treated.
  • Each child will feel loved and accepted.
  • Promote a positive attitude towards school—that learning is fun!

We respect parents as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing for their child. Together, parents and teachers can work as partners in the child’s care and education.

TODDLER TIME

The parent/caregiver stays with the child to introduce them to a classroom environment for the first 5 months, then may DROP OFF IF THE CHILD IS READY. It is a small class size of 8 children, with activities and stories that are developmentally appropriate for toddlers.

There is no registration fee.
May join in class at anytime, if space is available.

TESTIMONIALS

What Parents Say About Us

Helping Hands has helped my daughter open up and become more social. I feel she is well prepared to enter kindergarten. The class DOJO program is very easy to use. The school has handled the Covid virus excellent. All the staff have been so friendly and easy to communicate with.”  – A. Burney

We started in January as a 3-yr. old coming off 2 years of the pandemic, having very little experience with other kids…and this was the first time doing anything away from Mom & Dad. It was a big adjustment and we really appreciate the effort made for the greatest success in this new environment. There was great communication and support offered to help us.”  – V. Bain

“I am so happy Bryce and I found your two-year-old program years ago and started our Helping Hands experience. As he is relatively shy and quiet, it was great seeing him happy, confident and successful in your environment! Thank You!.”   B. Sternkopf

“From start to finish at Helping Hands was very positive. The registration process was easy, the teachers were wonderful and the curriculum has taught Camden so much! Because of Helping Hands, he is very excited for kindergarten.” – A. Melita-Nierenberg

EVENTS/MISSION PROJECTS

We invite parents to attend several events throughout the year. They include a Fall Harvest Celebration, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Pageant and Mother’s Day Celebration. At the end of year we have an ice cream party for the three year olds and a graduation ceremony for the 4 year olds.

As a Christian Pre-school, we feel it is important to put our faith into action and to share our blessings with others. Each year we select two or three mission projects that benefit the community and/or world. We thank our wonderful parents for their very generous donations throughout the years.

HHCP collected food to donate to the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry.
